If you had to summarize this week's episode in a few words, they would definitively be "more than meets the eye".

Asian Jon and Average Joe look back on Justice League's second weekend at the box office and cry over what the future of the DC movie universe looks like in light of the news; but is there hope for this franchise?

Then we take a trip back to 1986 to then go to 2005 which is the future but is actually the past for us in 2017 to talk about "The Transformers: The Movie". How does the classic animated series translate to the big screen? What were the reasons for deciding to make a major motion picture about these characters? How does it hold up? Does it compare to the live action films? Does Average Joe get to keep his $50?

Music and audio from "The Transformers: The Movie" is the property of Vince DiCola, Joe Bacal, Tom Griffith, Nelson Shin, Hasbro, Sunbow Productions, Marvel Productions, and Toei Animation.

This week Asian Jon, Average Joe, and special guest Ben The Movie Buff come together to tackle the new DC Comics adaptation "Justice League".

Where do the characters of the Justice League come from? What is the complicated history related to this movie? Can these heroes overcome the problems that their previous entries encountered? Does the movie suffer from being directed by two different filmmakers or having the studio get involved?

Who are the guys' favourite characters? Is this movie any good? Is there hope for the future of the DC Expanded Universe? Answers to all these questions and more inside this week's Bat-Jar!

If you wish to avoid SPOILERS for 2017's "Justice League" skip over 37:30-1:09:14.

As Obi-Wan Kenobi once said "I have a bad feeling about this"...

Disney is looking to buy 21st Century Fox; what does this mean for the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Could we see Deadpool team up with the Guardians of the Galaxy? Wolverine join the Avengers? The Simpsons meet Mickey Mouse?

Then the guys dive deep into the Star Wars prequel trilogy. Why do people dislike these films so much? Where do Asian Jon and Average Joe disagree on the characters, plots, and music of each entry? Listen as they descend into the Dark Side to discuss these movies.

Music and audio from "Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace", "Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones", and "Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith" are the property of John Williams, George Lucas, Rick McCallum, and Lucasfilm.

It's the third and final MCU movie of the year! Listen as Asian Jon and Average Joe decide if the new film "Thor: Ragnarok" is indeed worthy of Thor's hammer.

Amazon is planning a "Lord of the Rings" television series. What do the guys think about this development? Is it too soon to return to Middle Earth?

Thor, Loki, Hulk and more are back for the third Thor solo film in Ragnarok. How does it compare to the other films? Does it have too much humour? Does it bring new life to this franchise? What does this mean for the future of the MCU as we know it?

If you want to avoid SPOILERS for Thor 3, skip over 37:44-56:51 in the episode.

Music and audio from "The Avengers (2012)" is the property of Alan Silvestri, Kevin Feige, Joss Whedon, and Marvel Studios.
